Ireland's first and only all-island community for women founders. It provides peer support, unrivalled events, access to international trade missions, and programmes such as SheGenerate and SheScales, which have been created specifically to ensure that women can overcome the barriers they face when founding and scaling their businesses at home and internationally.

The investment syndicate created by AwakenHub because we knew things needed to change around how women founders could access capital and investor support. To secure investment from the AwakenAngels syndicate we ask that founders be a member of AwakenHub as we want to know the founders and companies we place in front of our syndicate members are well-placed to seek investment.
What is AwakenAngels?
AwakenAngels is Ireland’s first and only all-island, women-led investment syndicate and community. We educate and bring together new and experienced investorsto support scalable, women-led ventures, while providing CPD-accredited training, peer learning, and a sector-agnostic, community-minded collaborative network.
In short, we’re a women-led (not women-only) investment community which is changing the landscape for women founders and investors across the island of Ireland and among the Irish diaspora.
Who can join AwakenAngels?
Membership of our investment syndicate is open to anyone (male allies included) who wants to invest in women-led businesses on the island of Ireland. We welcome:
- First-time investors seeking to learn and start small
- Experienced investors wanting access to high-quality, women-led deal flow
- Professionals and entrepreneurs interested in contributing both capital and expertise
Through our partnerships with organisations such as InterTradeIreland and the British Business Bank, we offer a limited number of sponsored places in our syndicate each year subject to eligibility.
Our education programmes are also open to all women who want to increase their know-how around angel-investing and backing Irish women founders.
How can I avail of a sponsored AwakenAngels syndicate membership?
Through the unwavering support of InterTradeIreland and the British Business Bank, we are currently able to offer a limited number of sponsored places. These are available to first-time women angel investors who commit to making a minimum investment of £2,000. Sponsored members receive:
- A first-year membership fee waiver (value £600)
- Waived transaction fee on their first investment
- Access to the AwakenAngels Academy CPD-accredited training programme

- DEAL LEADER TRAINING An advanced course for experienced investors who want to take a leadership role in syndicate deals. Covers deal structuring, due diligence, governance, and negotiation.

How can I access the CPD-Accredited Investment Training?
Our CPD-accredited AwakenAngels Investor Academy programme is designed to equip aspiring and early-stage investors with the knowledge, confidence, and community to begin or grow their angel investment journey. If you feel it could be for you, please register your interest in the programme.

In addition, all full members (including sponsored members) of our syndicate gain access to the AwakenAngels Academy. This nine module course is designed to build confidence and real-world expertise. How much time does it take to become an active AwakenAngels investor?

What you will have, however, will be a deeply invested community of AwakenAngels staff, founders, and new and seasoned investors in your new community who are there to answer any questions you may have.
