I’ve been in angel investors since 2017. I’m a member of MedTech in Galway, and I’m a member of West by Northwest. And then I saw this AwakenAngels . I thought, this is interesting. It’s all about women. So I went up there for the weekend and then there was an email for this today to do the deal there for due diligence. Again, that is something I really needed to learn about because I’ve been asked a few times in the med tech to do due diligence and I just wasn’t confident enough to do it. But certainly after today, it’s been brilliant. It’s been really, really informing, particularly the solicitors you could ask questions about. There were lots of terms being used that I hadn’t quite understood, but after today it made total sense. I was able to just sort of ask exactly what did this mean, such as investing different anti-ilution, that sort of thing, and that was very educating today.
So really, really good day. Super for somebody who is in business for yourself. Then you come along and you look at investing. AwakenAngels is fabulous. It’s all women based. There’s huge education with it. There’s huge help with it. You are not on your own. If there’s something you don’t know, you can lift the phone to Denise. She’ll answer the question for you. If she doesn’t know, somebody else will tell you. Whereas other ones I’m in, it’s not like that. It’s mainly male orientated. It’s not that easy lift the phone, whereas AwakenAngels, it’s a totally different concept. It’s, it’s just much easier, I’d have to say. Definitely. And as I say, because it’s female orientated, that’s a big advantage. Yeah, I think and look for the future of the country. We need young founders bringing out these new comvispanies. It’s what it’s about. I mean, who knows whether pharma’s going to be in Ireland in 10 years time or not. So it’s very important we progress with this end of it.
