AwakenAngels envisions an Ireland where investment in women-founded businesses across the island is the norm, not the exception. Using our community, networks and shared know-how, we’re creating a world where every founder and investor journey is equitable, regardless of gender or geography. As Ireland’s first women-led syndicate and all-island founder community, we’re unlocking the full potential of women founders and investors to enable more Irish women to be actively building, backing each other, and growing successful ventures.
At AwakenAngels, we’re levelling the playing field for women founders and new and seasoned angel investors across the island of Ireland, by opening up access to capital, knowledge, incredible networks, and opportunity. Through our experience, education, and the power of the AwakenAngels community, we’re supporting women to grow their businesses, seek investment, gain the confidence to invest in others and take their place at the table, no matter where they are. By fostering the best, most inclusive, accessible, and supportive community for female founders and investors on the island of Ireland, and among the Irish diaspora, AwakenAngels is ensuring women have the know-how they need to build, back each other, and grow successful ventures.

AwakenAngels is the investment sister company of AwakenHub and Ireland’s first women-led angel investing syndicate. Purpose built to close the gender funding gap, it empowers women to become confident angel investors and creates a trusted pathway for women-led startups to access early stage capital.
AwakenAngels uniquely blends capital, education, and community: redefining angel investing through inclusivity, impact, and innovation. The syndicate has doubled in size in 12 months and anticipates c200 members by the end of 2025 made up of novice and experienced investors pooling resources to minimise individual risk and maximise collective returns.
The syndicate focuses on startups where at least one woman holds a founding role with a minimum 20% equity stake, ensuring women are represented on both sides of the investment table.
Expert led Due Diligence consisting of a team of 13 seasoned deal leaders conduct rigorous screening, strategic evaluation, and post investment support.
A CPD-certified, nine-module training that clearly explains the mechanics of angel investing—designed for firsttime and diaspora investors, delivered in a supportive, cohort-based format.
Ecosystem integration, building relationships with sector-specific investors, international syndicates, and co-investment partners to expand deal capacity.
